I'm excited to share the publication of a new article, “The Ha’avara Agreement,” co-authored with Dr. Alon Kaplan and published in the prestigious journal Trusts & Trustees (Oxford Academic).
The article examines the fascinating story of the Transfer Agreement (“Ha’avara”) - a 1933 arrangement between the German government and Zionist institutions that enabled German Jews to immigrate to Palestine while transferring their assets through the operation of two trust companies in Germany and Palestine.
This article is an excerpt from our forthcoming book, Trusts and Estate Planning in Israel, Second Edition (Juris Publishing).
